First aid kit tested: Flexeo first aid bag Discovery

Flexeo first aid bag Discovery

First aid set Flexeo first aid bag Discovery in the test

The Flexeo first aid bag Discovery is that First aid kit with the most equipment in our list of the best – by far. With 103 pieces, it has almost twice as many utensils as the next smaller set. As expected, you should be prepared for all emergency situations. The bag itself has two large carrying handles and can be opened completely. The workmanship is mostly clean, although the windows on the inside pockets seem a bit inferior. Also included is a flyer that refers to the in-house, free first aid app.

Flexeo first aid bag Discovery
The Flexeo first aid bag Discovery is quite large, but comes with a lot of contents.

Handling & inner workings

When it comes to handling, the Flexeo first aid bag Discovery cuts a pretty good figure: it has two zippers and can be quickly opened completely. Inside you will find two transparent pockets with zippers - the contents are well secured and quickly accessible. The third inside pocket is a mesh pocket. This keeps larger utensils such as cold compresses well in place. All bags also offer space for individual additions.

The contents are well sorted and clearly stored in transparent compartments and mesh pockets.

The equipment

The Flexeo first aid bag Discovery comes with the following features:

  • 1 x Adhesive Plaster Spool (5m x 2,5cm)
  • 2 x Instant Cold Compress
  • 2 x elastic fixation bandages (6 cm x 400 cm)
  • 2 x elastic fixation bandages (8 cm x 400 cm)
  • 2 x triangular cloth (96 cm x 96 cm x 136 cm)
  • 6 x wound compresses (10 cm x 10 cm)
  • 2 x eye compress (5,5cm x 7,5cm)
  • 16 x quick wound dressing (10 cm x 6 cm)
  • 8 x finger plasters (4cm x 6,5cm)
  • 8 x finger plasters (12cm x 2cm)
  • 8 x finger plasters (1,9cm x 7,2cm)
  • 16 x finger plasters (2,5cm x 7,2cm)
  • 1 x rescue blanket (160 cm x 210 cm)
  • 10 x alcohol swabs
  • 12 x Safety Pins
  • 4 x Disposable Gloves
  • 1 x Plastic Tweezers
  • 1 * Scissors

Cyclists are comprehensively equipped with this first aid kit - you actually drive a small pantry around here. The cold compresses are interesting, but they also shift the total weight of the set towards three quarters of a kilo. Instead of the unnecessary number of safety pins, a respiratory aid and staple plasters would be desirable. Despite the huge size of 103 pieces, the set is unfortunately not completely harmoniously equipped. The quality of the equipment makes a good impression.

Flexeo first aid bag Discovery equipment
The equipment is very extensive - the set contains a total of 103 parts.

The largest first aid kit on our list of the best is aimed, for example, at cozy cycling tour groups in older semesters or at large families where only one person carries a kit for everyone. The equipment is very extensive, which is reflected in the increased weight. It's not entirely consistent, but the bag offers space for additions and for just around €14 the buyer gets a lot for their money. There's not much to complain about when it comes to handling; the interior is clear and easily accessible.
