The Belgian secured his second win of the season ahead of his compatriot Tim Wellens (UAE) and the Spaniard Oier Lazkano (Movistar) secured. The trio was at the front of the race for the last 30 kilometers. The New Zealander Laurence Pithie (Groupama – FDJ) was initially with them, but eventually had to give up.
