Mountain bikes 2024: These are the top 3 in the Fully category
The high-end mountain bikes from Specialized rely largely on carbon frames. Specialized shows that this doesn't always have to be the case with the Stumpjumper Evo Elite Alloy. The bike comes with a lot of suspension travel and should be particularly enjoyable for playful, fun-oriented mountain bikers. Since one or two falls are inevitable during wild maneuvers on the trail, an aluminum frame can definitely make sense here. The equipment is well chosen and of absolutely high quality throughout.

Propain certainly cannot count itself among the traditional brands. The brand is simply too young for that. The success is all the more remarkable. Rarely a bike park visit where you don't see a downhill or enduro bike from Propain. The Tyee is the enduro from Baden-Württemberg, which was relaunched in 2023. The bike can handle almost all areas of use, from tours and trails to bike parks, for which it can be optimized with the appropriate equipment. In addition, the prices of the direct shipper are quite attractive.

Scott herself says of the Genius that it has been her favorite bike for a long time. With 160 mm at the front and 150 at the rear, it is definitely potent. The rear shock hidden in the main frame is particularly noticeable. Using the handlebar selector lever, the rear suspension travel can be reduced to 100 mm and the rear can even be locked. This helps on the way up. The equipment is well chosen. The Sram GX transmission catches the eye.

Mountain bikes 2024: These are the top 3 in the hardtail category
Specialized has repeatedly made mountain bike racing history. The Epic Hardtail is not only very light and very efficient. It also offers comfort where it is needed to avoid tiring later and being able to accelerate for longer. It also has modern geometry that allows you to take on trails under your tires and offers greater tire clearance than its predecessor.

The Scott Scale drove together with Nino Schurter to many titles in World Cup races. Even though Schurter now often relies on a full-suspension bike for increasingly difficult routes, the Scale is still the first choice for many racers and marathoners. The completely new scale offers race-proven geometry and a particularly sleek design with an aggressive look.

Cannondale would like to have reinvented the SC hardtail with the Scalpel Carbon 2. The goal: to be the first up the mountain and the fastest on the descent. It should offer speed and efficiency, especially for long distances. For this, Cannondale relies on a carbon frame, not the extremely light aluminum chassis as was the case for many decades. But what is still a unique selling point and a trademark is the one-arm asymmetrical Lefty suspension fork.

Mountain bikes 2024: These are the top 3 in the entry-level category

Anyone who buys a cheap fully is often not looking for a specialist, but rather an all-rounder. The Jeffsy is YT Industries' answer to this question. The bike is more enduro than climbing but works great on tours. The fact that the very affordable bike is a bit heavy can be overcome given its high robustness, very good downhill characteristics and features that are usually not available elsewhere for its price range.

The American bikes from Specialized are often at home in the high-priced range. But with the brand's coolness you can also drive cheaper. An example is the Rock Hopper Elite 29. The bike comes with a beautiful aluminum frame, a Rock Shox suspension fork, Shimano brakes and a Shimano gear system with eleven gears. Some add-on parts from our own company are installed, and Specialized does not miss out on good details such as hookless rims.
