Cycling: The Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team looks back on a mixed first season. As the successor to the Qhubeka - NextHash team, they were only able to win a few races - despite a well-known squad. More victories should be achieved in 2024. The two new additions Giacomo Nizzolo and Jannik Steimle could also ensure this.

Q36.5 is still missing success in the WorldTour
Swiss cycling is booming. In addition to Tudor, the Swiss have another UCI ProTeam, the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. However, with 25 podium finishes and eight of them victories, this team was not quite as successful. Matteo Moschetti was able to contribute two victories by winning the Clasica de Almeria and the GP d'Isbergues. The Italian was also responsible for five other podium finishes. Damien Howson from Australia and Mark Donovan from Great Britain were able to celebrate a stage victory at the Vuelta a Asturias and the Sibiu Cycling Tour. The fans were particularly happy about the two Swiss victories. Fabio Christians – brother of the top talent Jan Christen – won a section of the Tour de l'Avenir and Matteo Badilatti was victorious at the Tour du Rwanda. The Italian completed this tour of Africa Walter Calzoni ultimately in second place overall, as well Damien Howson the Tour of Britain. In the WorldTour it should be enough for third place twice. Matteo Moschetti took the podium on the fourth stage of the Tour of Poland and Alessandro Fedeli Eschborn – Frankfurt almost created a sensation.
2024: Nizzolo & Steimle strengthen the squad enormously
The Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team squad is certainly not one of the worst among the UCI ProTeams. Overall, the sporting management cannot be completely satisfied with the results in the 2023 season. The team was too defensive, especially in the WorldTour races. That should change next year. With Jack Bauer, Alessandro Fedeli, Antonio Puppio and Corey Davis, Q36.5 doesn't lose any top performers. The four departures are offset by seven new arrivals. The most famous among them is Giacomo Nizzolo. The Italian has already won the points jersey of the Giro d'Italia twice in his career. He may no longer be one of the top sprinters today, but he still has a reasonable top speed. Germany Jannik Steimle has its strengths in other areas. He is considered a strong time trialist, climbs well and has already shown flashes of his qualities in one-day races. After two rather weak years, he now wants to start again in the Q36.5 team. The list of new arrivals is completed by the Belgian Frederik Frison, the Irishman Roy Townsend, the Australian James Whelan, the Spaniard Mikel Azparren and the Italian Alessandro Fancellu.
