Großschartner shows consistently strong performances
The year 2019 was probably the best year of his career so far Felix Grossschartner. In this, the Austrian won the Tour of Turkey and finished the Tour de Romandie in fourth place overall. After that, things went downhill for him, at least in terms of results, as he often had to do helper work. His career was revived by his move to UAE Team Emirates in the 2023 season. Felix Großschartner came fourth at the start of the season in the Saudi Tour and at the end of the year he was in the top ten in the overall ranking at the Tour of Luxembourg and the Tour of Guangxi. In between, he shone as second overall at the Deutschland Tour and especially at the Tour de France as Tadej Pogacar's helper. By the way, it should be enough for him to finish 23rd in the GC.
A man with character
Undoubtedly drives Felix Grossschartner Bike because he enjoys it. This strenuous sport is certainly his job, but you rarely see the Austrian in a bad mood before the start of a race. He is always easy to recognize with a big smile on his face. He takes part in the Wels inner city criterion every year. However, he forgoes the prize money himself and donates it instead. As he himself says, he would like to give something back. For a few months now he has even been able to call himself European champion. Felix Großschartner won the European Mountain Championships after the Tour de France - even though just a few days before he didn't even know that such a thing even existed. This also shows how relaxed the Austrian is and how much fun he has in his job. Tadej Pogacar can count himself lucky to have such a loyal noble helper at his side.
