New light e-MTB with fun guarantee: HoheAcht Amuza
The HoheAcht company – named after the highest volcano in the Eifel – is expanding its own bike portfolio with a new light e-MTB called Amuza. Driving fun and ease were the focus of development. Accordingly, the E-MTB is equipped with a modern carbon frame that weighs just 1820 g and results in a total weight of around 18 kg. The bike rolls on 29 inch wheels - in conjunction with the trail geometry, there should be a lot of riding fun, especially uphill. As we already know from HoheAcht, that is Light e-bike Available in three different equipment variants: The high-end model Amuza Dio, the medium model Amuza Monto and the entry-level model Amuza Roko. The last two models are also available in different colors that have exotic names such as Goldmine or Snow White. The origin of the name Amuza is also exotic: It comes from the planned language Esperanto and can be translated as fun, funny and amusing.

Equipment & models
The top model Amuza Dio is elegant: it has an Öhlins RXF36 fork with 150 mm travel. When it comes to gears, HoheAcht relies on the Sram X01, combined with XX1 shifters. Sram Guide RE four-piston brakes ensure reliable stopping. The E-MTB comes with high-quality components, but does without high-end parts such as carbon wheels in order not to drive the price up to absurd levels. It rolls on a high-quality Mavic E-Deemax aluminum wheelset. A vario support not only makes it easy to get on and off, it also ensures safety on the descent. For sizes M and L there is a 170 mm stroke available, for size S it is 125 mm.

The Amuza Monto and Roko models also come with a corresponding vario support. The entry-level Roko model is equipped with solid Sram SX gears and Shimano BR-MT420 four-piston disc brakes. A Rock Shox Gold 35 RL with 150mm travel ensures riding comfort. Beginners get functional, robust components here.
The sportier Monto model comes with a Rock Shox Zeb suspension fork and slows down with Sram DB8 four-piston brakes. HoheAcht also relies on Sram for the gears, namely the NX egale. There are some pretty high-quality components on the Amuza Monto.
All models roll on wide 2,4 inch Kenda tires, which provide good grip and additional driving comfort. Overall, the equipment of all models makes a sensible, well-rounded impression.
Geometrie
The geometry of the HoheAcht Amuza is designed for use as a trail bike. The steering and seat angles are in the moderate range at 67 degrees and 74 degrees. Long chainstays and a deep bottom bracket not only ensure good uphill properties, but also a safe riding experience. In terms of safety, the deep top tube of the Amuza should also be mentioned - this makes handling much easier, especially for smaller people. This also creates the elegant frame shape of the Amuza.
The seating position is rather sporty and stretched - the reach of 460 mm for size M falls absolutely into the modern, sporty pattern.

Drive: motor & battery
When it comes to the motor, HoheAcht relies on the tried and tested: a Shimano EP8 motor provides plenty of propulsion, while the entry-level Roko model uses the EP6 motor. Despite the lightweight construction concept, this decision was made consciously in order to equip the Amuza with a stable, powerful drive. A specific configuration was used to bring the power, range and weight into an optimal ratio.
The slim battery provides 360 Wh. This is more than sufficient for most tours and trips, while the heavy battery cells save a lot of weight. However, if you really have big plans, you can purchase a range extender with an additional 360 Wh and thus practically double the range.
