Cycling: Olav Kooij achieved a second stage victory on the final day of the Tour of Guangxi. The Dutchman can celebrate together with his compatriot Milan Vader. Because his teammate was honored as the overall winner.
Jumbo – Visma also dominates the Gree Tour of Guangxi
The last WorldTour race of the season was also dominated by the black and yellow team from Jumbo – Visma. As is often the case, well over 100 professionals competed for victory - and in the end the Dutch celebrated again. After Olav Kooij (Jumbo – Visma) was able to win the third stage, he can now also look forward to victory on the sixth stage. This time, however, it was extremely close. Kooij was only able to beat his opponents by centimeters Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE) from Colombia and ethan hayter (Ineos Grenadiers) from Great Britain. The Ineos Grenadiers team in particular put in a strong performance on the final day, but still missed out on winning the stage. The overall victory on the 168,3 kilometer long section with start and finish in Guilin could no longer be taken away Milan Vader (Jumbo – Visma). He wins the Tour of Guangxi with a lead of 6 and 11 seconds respectively Remy Rochas (Cofidis) and ethan hayter (Ineos Grenadiers).
