Cycling: The first stage locations of the Deutschland Tour 2024 have been determined. After it was already announced that the Tour of Germany will head to Villingen-Schwenningen next year, Schwäbisch Gmünd can now also look forward to the cycling circus.

The core of the Germany Tour 2024 is in place

In the coming season, the Germany Tour will probably resemble a classic course. As was announced today, Thursday, the second stage of the country's largest tour takes place over undulating terrain Schwäbisch-Gmünd. The milestone has been set for a few weeks now Villingen-Schwenningen. This means that the 39th edition of the Germany Tour – which is expected to take place from August 21st to 25th – will spend a large part of it in Baden-Württemberg.

Richard Arnold, Mayor of Schwäbisch Gmünd:
“We are pleased to welcome a top sporting event with global appeal. With the Germany Tour, we are combining our city’s great enthusiasm for sports with a festival that will attract the world’s best cyclists and many guests to Schwäbisch Gmünd in the summer.”

Welcome Schwäbisch Gmünd! The Baden-Württemberg city will be a stage location for #yourtour 2024 and on August 23rd and 24th will host both the finish of the 2nd stage and the start of the 3rd stage.@GDgezwitscher pic.twitter.com/DopuOTjWWG
