The new Campagnolo Hyperon wheelset: Italian high-end all-rounder

24 October 2023 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The wheels from the traditional Italian manufacturer Campagnolo have been among the highest quality and most stylish models on the market for as long as cycling fans can remember. With the new Campagnolo Hyperon carbon wheelset, the manufacturer adopts various features from the Hyperon Ultra high-end models.

The new Campagnolo Hyperon wheelset was inspired by the technical features of the manufacturer's Hyperon Ultra top models and skilfully combines the best of Italian engineering and many years of know-how ebringing to life a renewed mix of technical features and technological advances.

Campagnolo Hyperon wheelset

The core feature of the new Campagnolo Hyperon wheelset are the rims, which are manufactured using the advanced compression molding technology HULC (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon), which ensures an optimal ratio between carbon fibers and resin, which in turn leads to exceptional stiffness values, the best control and long-lasting durability should.

The new Hyperon wheels also benefit from Campagnolo's so-called single-joint construction process, which reduces potential weak points through a single fusion point. At the same time, the asymmetrical profile of the rim, which has been known for years, enables excellent control of stiffness and complete tension management, so that maximum safety and maneuverability is ensured in every curve and you can benefit from the best handling.

The new Campagnolo Hyperon wheelset also has a lot to offer visually, as the mirrored C-LUX finish ensures such a smooth surface on the rim that painting is not necessary. This special process not only enables significant weight savings, but it also helps ensure the safest positioning of tubeless tires. This design advantage promotes density and facilitates assembly, reducing the risk of damage to the tire beads.

With a 21mm wide internal rim width and a 37mm high rim profile, the new Campagnolo Hyperon wheelset is a model that adapts to the needs of the most passionate cyclists while enhancing the aesthetics of any bike. In terms of weight, the wheelset only weighs 1340 grams and is priced at 2.690 euros.
