Cycling: Once again cycling has to mourn the loss of one of its heroes. Tijl De Decker is dead. The 22-year-old Belgian has succumbed to his injuries after his fall on Wednesday.

The bad news doesn't stop in cycling. Another young driver succumbs to his injuries after an accident. Tijl De Decker from Team Lotto – Dstny collided with a car during a training session on Wednesday. The 22-year-old Belgian was then given medical attention, taken to the hospital and immediately operated on. He fell into a coma from which he could not wake up. He was considered a great talent and won the U23 edition of Paris – Roubaix this season, among other things.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tijl De Decker, following a training accident last Wednesday.
