Product News / E-Bike: The Flyer Uproc EVO:X is the further development of the Uproc 6 and is aimed at ambitious e-bikers. Massive suspension travel and an adapted geometry call for extreme use. We have already been able to try out the E-Enduro. Here you can find all information about the brand new bike.
Flyer Uproc EVO:X – the Enduro (R)Evolution?
More suspension travel, more angle, more riding fun - that's how you could briefly describe the new Flyer Uproc EVO:X. With 170 mm at the front and 165 mm at the rear, the e-bike has become more absorbing than its predecessor. In order to further increase the uphill and downhill performance, Flyer has designed the seat angle to be steeper and the steering angle to be flatter. Redesigning the frame also saves weight. It should be 700 grams, which is quite a lot given the increased stiffness. This was achieved by redesigning the battery position in the frame. This is now removed downwards and sits lower, which in turn results in a lower center of gravity. From our point of view, it is gratifying that Flyer is sticking to the mixed-wheel concept - with a smaller 27,5-inch rear wheel, the e-bike remains more manoeuvrable. The Uproc EVO:X is aimed at ambitious bikers who like to really accelerate and want to ride a solid, high-quality work machine.

Models & Equipment
The equipment of the top model 9.50 is the finest: Electronic Eagle AXS gears and dropper post, Shimano XTR brakes and a Fox Factory chassis leave nothing to be desired. In combination with the shapely carbon frame, the buyer gets a great overall package - but at a price of € 12.499 you would expect carbon wheels. Instead, the top model comes with Mavic aluminum rims, which are still extremely high quality and robust.
The 8.70 model comes with high-quality Shimano XT equipment and is likely to be the most interesting option for many bikers in terms of price-performance ratio. This model also has a Fox suspension, but in the performance version. The cheaper models 6.10 and 4.10 with slightly cheaper equipment are more aimed at beginners and occasional cyclists.

The Geometry
Flyer has revised the downhill-optimized geometry of the older Uproc 6 and combined it with the positive properties of the Uproc X. The Uproc EVO:X has a very slack steering angle of 64,5 degrees and shows very good downhill characteristics in our first test laps. The steep seat angle of around 77 degrees ensures an upright sitting position and gives the bike good climbing properties. With a flip chip, you can flatten the angles by about half a degree, lower the bottom bracket and thus trim the e-bike for even more downhill performance.

The drive of the Flyer Uproc EVO:X
The motor
The Bosch Performance Line CX motor is well-known, reliable and proven. Flyer equips the Uproc EVO:X with one of the best motors on the market. The top model 9.50 even comes with the race version of the Bosch CX. Both engines deliver 85 NM of torque. In combination with the revised geometry and the improved uphill performance, the CX Race should provide a lot of fun and enormous climbing properties - provided you can control the blatant torque of the motor. In this respect, the top model is aimed at experienced bikers.
Thanks to the compact remote control and system controller in the top tube, the cockpit looks tidy. The system controller provides information on the support mode and the battery level. If that's not enough, you can connect your smartphone to the bike via Bluetooth and use the eBike Flow app to read out all the information you need to know on your cell phone.
By the way, you can find a test of the Bosch CX Race under the following link:
Bosch CX Race under test: New engine (not only) for racing use
E-MTB / Test: With the Bosch CX Race, the e-bike pioneer from southern Germany is expanding its portfolio with a new motor. We've already been able to test it on the trails in Finale Ligure and reveal what makes the new powerhouse so special. At least since this year's Eurobike there has been a lot of rumor about a new motor from Bosch. [...]
The battery
Flyer donated 750 Wh to the new Uproc EVO:X. This means that a lot is possible in terms of tour length and altitude. Extensive tours can even be undertaken here in alpine terrain. Only the entry-level model 4.10 is equipped with "only" 625 Wh. What is new is that the battery is now fixed with bolts and can be removed from the bottom tube. Thanks to this construction, Flyer was able to place the battery lower in the down tube, which ultimately gives the e-bike a lower center of gravity. As usual, a charging socket can be found on the left side above the motor.
First driving impression
In a few words: The Uproc EVO:X delivers what it promises. The climbing properties are excellent thanks to the upright sitting position - the front wheel stays on the ground even on extremely steep passages. You can really step on the gas going downhill. The potent chassis does its job unobtrusively, which is a good sign.
In the near future we will subject the e-bike to a detailed test in which we will go into more detail about the riding characteristics.
