SRAM XX Eagle AXS: The high-end group offers a lot to dream about with completely new technologies, low weight and optimal function. If you don't have 2.750 euros left at the moment to perfectly equip your dream bike or to upgrade an existing (E-)MTB, we have the chance to win an attractive prize.
An increase is hardly conceivable - everyone who has ever dealt with the top products in the MTB segment from SRAM knows that. Since the first X0 group, which came onto the market around 15 years ago, the US manufacturer has clearly focused on lightweight construction; in addition, SRAM has always proven itself to be extremely innovative in its gears. The 1x drive is the brand's credit, and with the XX Eagle AXS SRAM has reached a new level here. Because the group, which was presented for the first time in March, comes up with numerous innovations, which are a real game changer, especially in terms of shifting behavior.
An increase hardly conceivable
Of course, the UDH rear derailleur, which is no longer screwed to a conventional derailleur hanger, but is fixed directly to the frame, caused raised eyebrows. Apart from being an extremely robust construction, the system also has the advantage of precisely defined distances between the rear derailleur and the cassette. The complex adjustment of the derailleur is a thing of the past.
The large AXS rear derailleur is of course electronic and wireless, with the new shifter called the "AXS Pod" featuring a whole new shape. It puts an end to levers inherited from mechanical systems and offers two non-slip buttons; it is also extremely versatile adjustable. There is also new technology in the cassettes, which are called "T-Type": The bandwidth is still 520% thanks to 10-52 teeth, although individual gradations have been changed; there will now be one "Flattop" chain used, as already known from the SRAM road bike groupset. What is new is the so-called cassette mapping, in which the climbing aids are designed in such a way that the shifting process is equally fast from every position of the sprocket. This makes shifting smoother overall, and there are no longer any restrictions on power shifting - not even on the E-MTB.
Win your new SRAM XX Eagle AXS MTB top group now!
The XX group now also includes carbon cranks, which are optionally available with a power meter, which finally turns the high-end group into racing material. Components that you can dream of, but sometimes dreams come true - in this case without investing 2.750 euros for the complete drive train. Together with SRAM, Velomotion is giving away a SRAM XX Eagle AXS; to be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is answer the prize question below correctly.
