Jasper Philipsen steals the show
Unbeatable - this word applies to the Tour de France 2023 Jasper Phillipsen (Alpecin – Deceuninck) to. The Belgian also won today's eleventh stage and thus his fourth at this year's Tour of France. Again well positioned by his teammates, this time he easily managed to win the stage without teammate Mathieu van der Poel. Today he benefited from starting much too early Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco-AlUla). It has made it onto the podium again Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain – Victorious) done.
Chanceless breakaway trio
The eleventh and 179,8 kilometer stage from Clermont-Ferrand to Moulins was marked by boredom. It didn't take long after the official start for three drivers to break away from the main field. The Italian Daniel Oss (TotalEnergies), the French Matis Louvel (Arkéa – Samsic) and Andrew Amador (EF Education – EasyPost) from Costa Rica formed the escape trio of the day. Since there was no big fight for the breakaway group and the sprinter teams fell in line early on, it quickly became clear that the day's winner would be determined in a mass sprint today. Although the weather was initially good, the pros weren't in a bad mood. Towards the end of the stage, however, the temperatures got cooler, the wind stronger and it started to rain. With Daniel Oss, the last remaining breakaway was finally caught nine kilometers from the finish line.
