June 7, 2023 by Michael Behringer

Bjerg Dauphine

Cycling: Mikkel Bjerg has won the time trial at the Critérium du Dauphiné. The Dane left his compatriot Jonas Vingegaard behind on the 31,1-kilometer course from Cours to Belmont-de-la-Loire. He also takes over the yellow jersey from the overall leader.

Bjerg divides the time trial perfectly

The yellow jersey has changed hands. Christophe Laporte (Jumbo – Visma) had to give up the overall lead in the 31,1-kilometer time trial from Cours to Belmont-de-la-Loire despite a reasonable performance. The new wearer of the Maillot Jaune is Mikkel Bjerg (UAE). The Dane was 12 seconds faster than his compatriot and top favorite in today's battle against the clock jonas vingegaard (Jumbo - Visma). However, the yellow jersey should only be on his shoulders for a short time, because in the coming days he will be heading into the mountains at the Critérium du Dauphiné. After his strong performance on the time trial bike, Jonas Vingegaard is now the big favorite for overall victory. is no longer there Enric Mas Nicolau (Movistar). The Spaniard gave up on today's stage - the reason is not yet known.
