Cycling: Ethan Hayter has won the second stage of the Tour de Romandie. The Brit was perfectly prepared for the sprint by his teammates in the last kilometer. He also takes over the yellow jersey.

Got from two teammates ethan hayter (Ineos Grenadiers) prepared for today's sprint. After cleverly holding back, the British team only took control in the final 1.000 meters. The two climbers surprisingly sprinted onto the podium Juan Ayuso (UAE) and Romain Bardet (DSM). The race was characterized by numerous attacks in the last few kilometers. Ultimately, however, a sprint from a larger group should decide the day's victory.

Bernard extends his lead in the mountains classification

The runaway trio around Julien bernard (Trek - Segafredo), Tom Bohli (Tudor) and Gleb Brussenskiy (Astana) was credited with a few minutes advantage. On the 162,7-kilometer route from Morteau to La Chaux-de-Fonds, the three breakaways still had no chance of winning the day, since the Jumbo - Visma team kept up the pace, especially on the climbs in person Robert Geink has increased drastically. Accordingly, the pure sprinters could no longer follow.
