It finally worked on the third try. Remco Evenepoel (Soudal – Quick Step). Primois Roglic (Jumbo – Visma) defeated in the Tour of Catalonia. At the mountain finish, the Belgian won the sprint duel against the Slovenian by starting early and giving the overall leader no chance. Before that it was Evenepoel who made the decisive attack. Roglic was the only one who could follow, but refused to cooperate. The stage over 180,6 kilometers starting in Olost and finishing in La Molina was initially characterized by seven breakaways. But although the group with Richard Carapaz (EF Education – EasyPost) and William Martin (Cofidis) was heavily occupied, she could not save herself from the favorites across the finish line.
