Trekking bikes 2023: These are the top 3 of our readers

1st place: Cannondale Tesoro 1 - 17,9% of the votes

With its 3×10 derailleur gears, the Tesoro looks like a classic trekking bike, but it has its own character. Cannondale uses their own HeadShok suspension fork with 50 mm travel under the head tube and the luggage rack is welded directly to the frame. The seating position is pleasantly upright, the equipment is extensive with a frame lock, bright B&M spotlight and extra-long fender at the front.

Price: € 1.899

2nd place: Specialized Sirrus 2.0 EQ - 13,8% of the votes

Practical details like the particularly long mudguards that keep spray water in check and the balanced, sporty seating position, which seems ideal for brisk commuting, are pleasing on the Specialized. The 2×8 circuit ensures a large range of gear ratios, and system accessories can be mounted on the luggage rack. The Sirrus is also available with a trapezoidal frame.

Price: € 1.100

3rd place: Bulls Urban Cologne - 12,0% of the votes

As a new type of sporty everyday bike, the Urban Cologne appeals with its low weight and many practical uses. The ten-speed gearbox is widely graduated, the LED headlight is particularly bright. Bags can be hung on the compact rear carrier or a strap can be mounted. The seating position is rather sporty and appeals to brisk commuters. With integrated lines, the matt lacquered wheel looks very elegant.

Trekking E-Bikes 2023: These are the top 3 of our readers

1st place: Specialized Turbo Tero 4.0 EQ - 16,9% of the votes

At Specialized, “EQ” stands for “equipped”, which in this case means a real trail bike for everyday use. The Turbo Tero 4.0 EQ is designed for fast, difficult routes with 110 mm of travel, a dropper seat post and wide 29-inch tires, with the high-torque mid-engine with a 700 Wh battery providing thrust and range. A bike for all occasions that gets you anywhere.

Price: € 5.100

2nd place: Cannondale Tesoro Neo X 1 - 15,8% of the votes

The Tesoro is somewhere between an e-trekking bike and an e-SUB with a 100 mm suspension fork, the powerful Bosch Performance CX and not too wide two-inch tires. The ten-speed gearbox is a little more closely spaced, and a parallelogram seat post ensures seating comfort. The drive system includes a 750 Wh battery and "LED Remote" switch on the slightly curved handlebar. A frame lock for short stops is also included.

Price: 4999 Euro

3rd place: Orbea Kemen SUV 10 - 12,2% of the votes

With a slack steering angle, long wheelbase and dropper post, the Kemen SUV is close to the modern MTB, only the suspension fork is slightly shorter at 100 mm. The profiled tires make you want to go off-road, and the high-torque Shimano motor and the wide range of eleven-speed cassettes are also suitable for this. The Orbea with its solid carrier and high-tech lighting system with high beam is perfect for touring and everyday use.

Price: 4999 Euro

SUV E-Bikes 2023: These are the top 3 of our readers

1st place: Giant Stormguard E+ 1 - 17,6% of the votes

With the Stormguard, Giant has a hot iron in the fire for 2023: The completely newly developed bike combines full suspension with 100 mm with a powerful SyncDrive Pro2 drive including an 800 Wh battery and an almost maintenance-free Gates belt drive including Enviolo automatic gears. Top: The generous payload of over 120 kg.

Price: 7999 Euro

Go to the Stormguard E+1 on the Giant website

2nd place: Scott Axis eRide FS 10 - 12,6% of the votes

The extravagant frame design of the Scott Axis eRIDE FS 10 with a shock absorber integrated into the frame attracts curious looks. But the bike, which is equipped with 140mm spring travel, also has a lot to offer technically, including the Bosch CX motor with 750Wh battery and the durable Shimano Linkglide gears.

Price: € 6.299

To the Axis eRide FS 10 on the Scott website

3rd place: Nox Hybrid Tour 5.1 Sachs Expert - 12,5% of the votes

The Nox Hybrid Tour 5.1 would be an extraordinarily exciting SUV e-bike in itself: a well thought-out aluminum frame with a multitude of attachment options and a clever choice of components with powerful brakes and a robust gearshift make it a pleasure. In addition, there is the incredibly powerful Sachs RS mid-engine. Great bike!

Price: 5999 Euro
