The Federation of German Cyclists is going on the offensive with the Kids-Rad-Diplom To teach children how to cycle safely in a club and also for cycling clubs to provide a uniform course for recruiting young people. We think this initiative is very good and important for the future of cycling in Germany.
Two well-known cycling stars support the Kids-Rad-Diploma
The Olympic champion (track 4) Lisa Brennauer and professional cyclist John Degenkolb are the ambassadors of the kids' bike diploma.
“For me it's just part of it that children can ride bikes safely, because only then can you have fun with this great sport. The fun of cycling should also be conveyed in the Kids-Rad-Diploma, so I am pleased that such a course is finally being offered in cycling clubs.”
Tour stages and Paris-Roubaix winner John Degenkolb.

Big kick-off planned for April
The Kids-Rad-Diploma is to start in April with a major advertising campaign and will be offered in at least 100 clubs by then, so that an area-wide offer can be presented in Germany. Because in the future, the Kids-Rad-Diploma should be taken by all children and young people in their local cycling club throughout Germany. However, this offer is initially only aimed at C, B and A trainers with a valid license.
