Product news: With the new Look 765 Optimum, the French manufacturer has announced the newest member of its high-end racing bike lineup. The lightweight endurance bike is said to be a real evolution of Look's popular 765 series and has been redesigned from the ground up for better performance and lower weight. In addition, there is said to be a slightly less aggressive rider fit than previous Pro Tour models, which has a positive effect on comfort and efficiency.
For the completely new development of the Look 765 Optimum, the French manufacturer has used its know-how in the production of carbon and has applied the latest design, materials and manufacturing innovations to ensure the best performance characteristics and comfort. The redesigned 765 Optimum frame combines an ultra-strong carbon compound and an endurance-specific carbon layer to more efficiently dampen vibrations.
In addition to the new carbon layup, the Optimum's new endurance-optimized geometry also ensures significantly more balanced comfort. Look's 3D Wave carbon tubes are said to provide 20% more compliance than the previous model, while the T47 bottom bracket should ensure highly efficient power transfer.
With a tire clearance of up to 34 mm, the new Look Renner also offers the option of choosing wider tires for even more comfort and possible uses. As usual with Look, the cable routing is also completely integrated on the Look 765 Optimum. For added everyday practicality, the new 765 Optimum frame will be compatible with new Look fenders, giving riders the option to add extra protection from the elements without compromising on aesthetics.
“The new 765 Optimum is the ideal bike for everyday rides as well as the next sporting challenge. Developed in France by our teams of passionate engineers, it offers a compromise between stiffness and flexibility that allows endurance cyclists to fully enjoy the long-distance rides ahead. Look's unique know-how and innovative materials mean that our brand excels at mastering the complex alchemy between comfort and performance. With a completely new design combining multiple carbon fibers and fabrics, as well as our 3D Wave technology, the new 765 Optimum is an endurance bike that will accompany passionate cyclists on all types of trails.” – Frederic Caron – Product Manager, Look cycles
