Cycling: Uno-X has been the main sponsor of this Norwegian-Danish team since 2017. You have signed until 2027. So the cooperation is long-term - and successful, even if the first setback has to be accepted due to the missed promotion to the WorldTour.
The WorldTour license in three years is the goal
With only nine victories this season, the Uno-X team is certainly one of the disappointments despite a decent season. It was announced in previous years that they would like to develop step by step and apply for a WorldTour license. Now you have to wait three more years to be invited to the highest level of cycling. The result and at the same time the trigger for the mixed season were the missing wildcards for the big races. Probably the greatest success is the U23 time trial title from Soren Waerenskjold be designated. But also the stage victory of Anthony Charming at the Tour of Oman was more than just a respectable success. Tobias Halland Johannessen was seventh overall in the Tour of Catalonia, tenth in the Critérium du Dauphiné and fourth in the Tour of Norway. The 23-year-old Norwegian is arguably one of the most talented drivers on his team.
In Team Uno-X there are only Norwegians and Danes
The Uno-X team actually wanted to qualify for the WorldTour license this year. With rank 23 in the UCI ranking list, however, it failed relatively clearly. Now the next step is to be taken in three years. But you have to perform well in the 2023 season. That's why the team management put a lot of effort into Norway's biggest flagship: Alexander Kristoff. The Norwegian joined Team Uno-X from Intermarché – Wanty – Gobert Matériaux. Even if the now 35-year-old is already past his prime, he can certainly help the team with his stamina and experience. Otherwise make the commitments of Louis Bendixen, Stian Fredheim, Marcus Sander Hansen and Magnus Kulset clear that you will remain true to your line in the coming season. Because even in 2023, only Norwegians and Danes will be under contract with Uno-X.
