3T Exploro Racemax X Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato: High-end cooperation Made in Italy

2 December 2022 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The wheel manufacturer 3T and sports car legend Lamborghini presented a new gravel bike at the Miami Art Basel. The new 3T Exploro Racemax X Lamorghini Huracán Sterrato was developed in cooperation between the two Italian brands, of course Made in Italy. The focus was particularly on design and the passion for innovation.

Founded in 3, 1961T is a thought leader when it comes to all-road and gravel bikes. The company not only stands out for its innovative bikes, but also for its extensive R&D headquarters and manufacturing facility near Bergamo. So it made sense to start a joint project with one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance sports cars in the region. The collaboration between 3T and Lamorghini was inspired by the design of the new Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. This is the first super sports car that also wants to offer maximum driving pleasure on gravel and so does the 3T Exploro.

"Together we celebrate Made in Italy by introducing an exclusive performance gravel bike that uses premium materials and 3T components based on the design of the Huracán Sterrato." - Gerard Vroomen, Head of Design at 3T Bikes

According to the manufacturer, the DNA of the Huracán was transferred to the wheel manufacturer's flagship, the Exploro Racemax. The bike from the Italians is therefore equally powerful on and off the road and should now offer even more performance on any surface.

“As with Lamborghini's supercars, the use of carbon fiber and lightweight materials is prevalent. The Racemax frame, which forms the heart of the bike, is made in Italy using 3T's proprietary carbon fiber technology. The 3T Torno, the world's lightest aero crank, is also made in-house from the same materials. Inspired by Lamborghini, titanium and aerospace grade alloys and steel are also present in the bike parts and details.” – continues Gerard Vroomen.
