Test Cyklaer E-Gravel: The cooperation project of several highly specialized companies from the mobility industry is optimally motorized for the intended use, very well equipped and full of electronic details.
When companies like Porsche Digital, Storck, Fazua and Greyp work together, only a futuristic, groundbreaking concept can come out. And so the Cyklaer E-Gravel represents a combination of digital technology, innovative design and high-end bicycle construction, with which it deviates significantly from the usual.

Futuristic e-graveler
The central design element of the Cyklær is the parallelogram frame, whose special shape is created by an elegant transition from the top tube to the seat stays. What immediately draws attention to itself visually also has functional advantages. Because of this shape, the frame triangle is smaller, which should bring higher bottom bracket stiffness and more comfort. This is where Storck's expertise comes into play, which is responsible for the light full carbon frame with maximum performance. You can definitely feel this orientation when riding, because with its 14,4 kilos and good power transmission, the Cyklær can be ridden and steered (almost) like a normal gravel bike over long distances.
It also comes into play that the Fazua motor is completely decoupled from the drive train above the support range. It is also interesting that the entire Fazua drive unit can be removed, turning the Cyclær into a conventional gravel bike weighing a good eleven kilos. The Fazua Ride 50 Trail is torquey and pushes hard uphill no matter how steep it gets. A range of 120 km from the 252 watt hours seems realistic, since you quickly leave the support area and then provide propulsion on your own.
Connected e-bike from Porsche Digital

The Cyclær is characterized by numerous electronic functions, whereby, according to the manufacturer, safety aspects played an important role in the development. So you have not only opted for a "digital rear-view mirror", but also promises a permanent Internet connection. The onboard hardware also includes integrated front and rear cameras and motion sensors. The Cyklær app, which can be used continuously for navigation using the smartphone as an on-board computer, turns the Cyklær into a smart "connected e-bike" that benefits from the technological know-how of Porsche Digital. Thanks to GPS tracking directly on the bike, the integration of various apps such as Komoot, Apple Health and much more is no problem and makes the riding experience even more extensive. Sometimes it's hard to see what options you have with the Cyklær.
Cyklær also offers the e-gravel bike with so-called streetwear for urban use; the puristic variant in the test is reminiscent of a sporty racer in terms of equipment and look, which is equipped with a high-quality all-round high-quality carbon cockpit, aerodynamic DT Swiss wheels, SRAM Force AXS and other high-end components. The 40 mm wide Schwalbe G-One Allround rolls fast on asphalt, but is also quite grippy off-road. We also had a lot of fun on the more technical passages with the futuristic runabout, which we think is a perfect bike for anyone who doesn't want to commit themselves.
