Cycling: Phil Bauhaus is currently Germany's best sprinter. Unfortunately, he missed a Grand Tour win in 2022. The 28-year-old cannot be satisfied with his year overall - despite two successes.
Bauhaus missed the Germany Tour
Phil Bauhaus was denied the really big success this season. At the Giro d'Italia, being second on the day, he narrowly missed out on a victory in a Grand Tour. At Eschborn – Frankfurt he was an ungrateful fourth. With his stage victories at Tirreno - Adriatico and the Tour de Pologne, he proved that he is one of the strongest sprinters in the peloton. He had bad luck on the Deutschland Tour. He actually wanted to start here in his home country. But a positive corona test the night before prevented participation.
