Cooper e-bike raffle: The traditional British brand Cooper relies on elegant bikes with an urban character, which benefit from powerful e-support thanks to a compact rear-wheel drive system, but are hardly recognizable as e-bikes. The classic look paired with innovative technology and the best connectivity gives the Cooper e-bikes that special touch for everyday use.
The 2022 Cooper models remain true to the brand identity and come with a high-quality steel frame, which is powered by the latest ZeHuS drive on all models. The compact rear-wheel drive unites all the associated technologies, including the battery, in one housing so that you can be on the road in an optically inconspicuous and elegant manner.
The ZeHus 2 rear-wheel drive
As a compact system, the ZeHuS rear-wheel drive includes all important electronic functions such as motor, battery, Bluetooth connectivity, sensors and battery management. The system is activated for the first time by the Bitride Connect app. Journey information is displayed here and settings can also be personalised. Once activated, the e-bike can also be used without the app if desired. From a speed of 8 km/h, simply pedal backwards three times and the motor is already activated and the preset support level is switched on. The 250 watt motor with a maximum torque of 40 Nm supports up to a speed of 25 km/h and ensures relaxed propulsion. The invisible Li-ion battery is integrated in the motor and, with a capacity of 173 Wh, ensures plenty of electrifying driving fun. Once the batteries are empty, they can be fully recharged in less than three hours. Depending on the support level and topography, a full battery charge is sufficient for up to 60 kilometers.
In addition to the "Eco" and "Turbo" support levels that have already been set, you have the option in Custom mode to customize the support and thus adapt it to your personal driving style. Here you can set the intensity and duration of the support as well as the strength of the recuperation.
Formula 1 technology on the Cooper e-bike
In order to further improve the range, the Cooper e-bikes come with the Formula 1 known KERS technology (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) is used. Here, the motor can recuperate when braking or driving downhill and charges the battery. This creates a hybrid drive and extends the driving range. The engine brake is also very useful for reducing speed downhill or approaching traffic lights.
