Molano celebrates surprising stage win

As expected, the 21st and final stage of the Vuelta a Espana ended with a bunch sprint. However, after 96,7 kilometers from Las Rozas to Madrid, the spectators were treated to a surprise. Because the stage winner is called Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE). The Colombian is actually as a driver of Pascal Ackermann (UAE) active. But on the final stage of the Tour of Spain he drew the sprint so well from the German that no one could get past him. Teammate Ackermann was behind himself Mads pedersen (Trek – Segafredo) Third.

In addition to the red jersey, Remco Evenepoel can also take home the white jersey of the best young rider. The green jersey of the best point goes to Mads pedersen (Trek – Segafredo), who has had three stage wins in the past three weeks. Richard Carapaz (Ineos Grenadiers) was unable to compete for overall victory, but consoles himself with winning the mountain jersey and also with three stage wins. The team ranking goes to the UAE Team Emirates with a clear lead of almost an hour.
