Product news: Anti-theft protection is a challenge, especially for bicycles and e-bikes with wider tires. In order to do justice to the general trend towards wide tires, the manufacturer Trelock has expanded its portfolio with two new frame locks with an extra wide passage. Fixed to the frame, the two locks are particularly useful for short errands.
The trend towards bicycles and e-bikes continues unabated. These include not only mountain bikes, but also increasingly modern SUV bikes and cargo bikes. However, the wide tires make choosing the right bike lock a bit trickier, especially if the solution is to be uncomplicated for everyday use. For bicycles and e-bikes with wide tires, Trelock now offers the two new frame locks RS 480 and RS 481 with an extra-wide passage of 75 or 92 millimeters. It is mounted either directly on the frame using the appropriate screw threads or flexibly with the ZR 20 bracket supplied. In addition to uncomplicated handling, safety is of course the top priority. Both models are specified with a security level of 4 out of 6.
For longer periods of time without supervision, we recommend connecting it to fixed objects using an additional, optionally available plug-in chain for ideal protection against theft. The manufacturer offers solutions that vary in length and thickness. The highlight: If you combine the frame lock with the Trelock plug-in chain, only one key is required, because both locks are locked and unlocked using the same IN-X locking cylinder. The reversible key used by Trelock also allows it to be used on both sides, which not only makes handling easier, but also spares your nerves. The Trelock frame locks are offered for 45,99 euros, regardless of the model.
