MTB News: The Swiss Epic 2022 will start in a few days. From August 16th to 20th, the five-day mountain bike stage race will lead from Arosa via Laax to Davos. Alex Fiva and the local team from the Arosa Bike School are also at the start in Arosa with a very specific mission. As part of the stage race, donations will be collected for the newly established Arosa Fund. The aim of the fund is to offer mentally handicapped athletes access to training opportunities in order to be able to take part in the World Winter Games 2029 in Graubünden.
Arosa was able to win the Swiss freestyle skier Alex Fiva as ambassador of the World Winter Games 2029 to collect important donations for the fund at the Arosa stage together with the local team of the Arosa Bike School. The funds collected will be used to provide training opportunities in Arosa to people with mental disabilities starting this winter. An important project that of course needs many supporters and donors. From March 6th to 17th, 2029, 2.500 athletes from more than 100 countries will compete in nine sports and thus promote the equal coexistence of all people in our society. Countless carers, family members, fans, volunteers and media from all over the world will accompany you. The Special Olympics World Games is the world's second largest winter sports event after the Olympic Games.
