Cycling: Thymen Arensman and Ethan Hayter are the beaming winners of Stage 6 of the Tour de Pologne. While the Dutchman won today's mountain time trial, the Brit takes the lead in the overall standings.
Arensman wins ahead of Sheffield and Hayter
Although only 11,8 kilometers had to be covered today, the sixth stage was the decisive one in the Tour of Poland. From Nowy Targ (Gronków) to Wierch Rusiński it was always uphill. After 17 minutes and 40 seconds the time stopped at Thymen Arensmann (DSM) – earlier than any other. The Dutchman wins the mountain time trial with a lead of seven seconds Magnus Sheffield (Ineos Grenadiers) and eight seconds up ethan hayter (Ineos Grenadiers). This improves him to second place in the overall standings. He is only beaten by Ethan Hayter, who is third today. The leader so far Sergio Higuita (Bora – hansgrohe) did not have a good day. In 16th place he loses 50 seconds and thus slips down to eighth place. The German presented himself strongly Marco Brenner (DSM) in fifth place in the daily standings. Tomorrow the Tour de Pologne in Kraków will probably end with a mass sprint.
