Vos sprints to victory, Wiebes falls

She has struck again: Marianne Vos (Jumbo – Visma) wins the second and sixth stage of the Tour de France Femmes. The woman in the yellow jersey is thus further expanding her overall lead. She is now 30 seconds ahead of the Italian Silvia Persian (Valcar – Travel & Service) and the Pole Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon/SRAM). Since we're heading into the mountains on Saturday and Sunday, a few things are likely to change in the overall standings. Yesterday's two-time stage winner was not able to compete for the day's victory Lorraine Wiebes (DSM). The Dutchwoman fell almost 20 kilometers from the finish and suffered painful abrasions. Places two and three went to the Italian today Marte Bastianelli (UAE – ADQ) and the Belgian Lotte Kopeky (SD - Worx).

The Yellow Jersey, Marianne Vos took her 2nd stage victory today in @LeTourFemmes after a powerful sprint against Bastianelli and Kopecky. Unfortunately, Lorena Wiebes couldn't contest it after crashing earlier. Tomorrow: mountains! ⛰️ #TDFFpic.twitter.com/W6XPP8BGel
