Cycling: The Tour de France 2022 was a very special event, especially for the Danes. But the neutral spectators could also look forward to an exciting race almost every day. We look back on one of the most beautiful Tour of France in recent years.
On July 1, 2022, the 109th edition of the Tour de France began in Denmark. Looking back, one would like to say Denmark of all places, because at the end of the three weeks a Dane will be at the top of the podium. The fans at the side of the track seem to have expected or at least hoped for something similar, because the streets were well frequented. At the start, however, a Belgian cheers. Surprisingly, Yves Lampaert wins the rainy time trial.
