Product news: The Unbound Gravel or formerly Dirty Kanza is one of the most prestigious and "oldest" gravel races. The event was founded in 2006 at a time when gravelling was still in its infancy and here in Germany (almost) nothing was known about this discipline. The race describes itself as the "World Premier Gravel Race", i.e. the first gravel race in the world. The Unbound Gravel takes place in the Flint Hills of Kansas and the original 200-mile route is almost entirely on gravel roads and dirt roads. On June 4th, 2022 it will be that time again and superstar Peter Sagan has also announced his participation after several ex-professionals have already switched from the road to the gravel. On the sidelines of this year's Unbound Gravel, one or the other new product was discovered. A new Shiman attracted particular attentiono GRX Limited groupset that shines with a shiny look.
The Shimano GRX groupset was the first system of this type specially designed for gravel bikes and has won many fans over the past few years. The special thing about this off-road-oriented group is that it is aimed at all drivers. Because with different variants you can cover all needs from beginners to full professionals.

At this year's Unbound Gravel, Shimano set up a special partner exhibition. A new Shimano GRX Limited is installed on ten hand-made bikes from frame builders from all over the world. “These bikes will be on display at All Things Gravel Expo on June 2nd and 3rd to celebrate the history and future of gravel with the cycling community,” reports Shimano.

The Shimano GRX Limited Edition
After the introduction of the Shimano GRX group in 2019, as the first gear system specially designed for gravel, was a complete success, a good three years later they want to present themselves in a special shine at one of the most important gravel events in the world. That's why Shimano made the GRX Limited Edition.
At the core of the Shimano GRX Limited is the proven mechanical 11-speed GRX 800 group, which offers the best setup, especially under extreme conditions. The first special feature immediately catches the eye: the brushed and polished silver finish ensures that the quality, precision and durability that the GRX stands for stands out particularly strongly. The limited-edition groupset is available in three specifications: 1×11-speed and 2×11-speed for road handlebars, and a special 1×11-speed option for flat bars.
Following the Unbound Gravel, the new Limited Edition of the GRX groupset will also be available for a short time, but only from frame builders and specialist dealers.
