Jumping with the e-bike

Jumping with the e-bike: Together with the experts from MTB Academy this week we want to show you how you can master easy jumps with the E-MTB. Stefan Herrman explains in this issue of our riding technique video series what you should pay attention to when jumping with the e-bike.

Having already clarified the basics of riding technique on the E-MTB in the last few weeks, we now want to devote ourselves to somewhat more advanced topics. We start with easy jumps in the bike park - for this we recommend starting on clear tables. But driving technique expert Stefan Herrmann gives you all the important information in this video:

For the first practice attempts at jumps in the park, it is very important to get an idea of the terrain in advance and to look at the jump as a whole beforehand. So, how is the approach, the take-off and the landing zone. The expert advises that the take-off should be at least two bike lengths long and have a moderate incline. At the beginning you should only practice on tables and land on the table. The goal of landing comes later, as soon as the driver has mastered the jump safely.

movement imagination

From a deep basic position, the torso is positioned in the middle by stretching the legs. If you go too far forward, the front wheel dives, too far back, the rear wheel hangs. When stretching the legs, a dosed and dynamic movement is advantageous - no hectic movements! The more dynamic the action, the more important it is to create an image of movement. So the pain is lower and the fun higher.

Always keep safety in mind and stop exercising on bad days if you're not feeling well. Always think about it, don't overwhelm your body with too much information and let new information come step by step.
