Cycling: Mathieu Burgaudeau has won the sixth stage from Paris – Nice, surprising the favourites. Primoz Roglic remains in the yellow jersey after the 213,6 kilometer stage from Courthézon to Aubagne.
Burgaudeau attacked late and surprised
As the breakaway group – including the Swiss John Jacobs (Movistar) - was asked, everyone expected a sprint decision from the group of favorites. But Mathieu Burgaudeau (TotalEnergies) objected. The Frenchman attacked on the last hill and crossed the finish line a few meters before his pursuers. The Dane won there Mads pedersen (Trek – Segafredo) the sprint for second place in front of the Belgian wout van aert (Jumbo - Visma). Since all favorites got the same time, everything stays the same in the overall standings. The Slovenian Primois Roglic (Jumbo – Visma) continues to lead the classification Simon yates (BikeExchange - Jayco).
