Cycling: Mads Pedersen won the sprint on the third stage of the Paris – Nice long-distance race. The ex-world champion from Denmark was able to prevail over Frenchman Bryan Coquard. Leader Christophe Laporte fell a few meters from the finish line but received the winner's time.

Pedersen WINS, Laporte crashes
From Vierzon to Dun-le-Palestel, 190,8 kilometers had to be covered on the third stage from Paris to Nice. As expected, the decision came only in the mass sprint. The Dane could do this Mads pedersen (Trek – Segafredo) decide for themselves. The French Bryan coquard (Cofidis) and the Belgian wout van aert (Jumbo – Visma) only places two and three remained. The latter was lucky, as his teammate – and the overall leader – Christophe Laporte (Jumbo – Visma) fell a few meters before the finish line. However, the Frenchman is allowed to keep the yellow jersey. He is now a second ahead of Wout van Aert. Sprint-Dominator could not intervene in the mass sprint Fabio Jacobsen (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl). The Dutchman crossed the finish line more than eleven minutes after the day's winner.
