Quintana climbs up and away from everyone

As expected, the third stage of the Tour de la Provence turned the overall standings upside down again. From Manosque to the Montagne de Lure, 166,1 kilometers had to be completed. Four kilometers from the finish line Nairo Quintana (Arkéa – Samsic). Only Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl) was able to follow initially. But even the world champion only had to 1.000 Meters later, he realized that he couldn't keep up with the Colombian today. So the Frenchman also fell back after another attack by Nairo Quintana, who ultimately celebrated not only the stage win but also the overall victory safely and confidently. He climbed to second place. Mattias Skjelmose Jensen (Trek – Segafredo). The only 21-year-old Dane completes the podium of the seventh Tour de la Provence behind Quintana and Alaphilippe.
