Kämna wins as a breakaway
The 68th Ruta del Sol ends with a sense of achievement for German cycling. Lennard Kamna (Bora – hansgrohe) wins the king's stage and is thus rewarded for his strong performances on the days before. On the 146,4-kilometre section from Huesa up to the mountain finish in Chiclana de Segura, he slipped along with his team-mate and compatriot Emmanuel Buchman (Bora – hansgrohe) in the big top group of the day. With 3,4 kilometers to go, he launched the decisive attack – and successfully carried it through to the finish line.
