With a lead of 7 seconds Filippo Gana (Ineos Grenadiers) secured the day's victory in the final 11-kilometer time trial of the Etoile de Bessèges. The world champion from Italy referred the Dane Mads pedersen (Trek – Segafredo) in second place. turned third Benjamin Thomas (Cofidis), who was able to defend the overall lead up to the finish line. The Frenchman can now look forward to a tour victory for the first time. Next to him on the podium are the Italians Alberto Bettiol (EF – EasyPost) and the Norwegian Tobias Johannessen (Uno-X).
