Germany Tour: The final stage will start in Schiltach in 2022

11 November 2021 by Michael Behringer

Deutschland Tour

Cycling: In the coming season, the Deutschland Tour will be held over 5 days for the first time. More and more details about the route are being published. Now we also know: The final stage will start in Schiltach in 2022.

The final stage begins in Schiltach

A prologue and 4 stages make up the Deutschland Tour 2022. We also already knew that the tour ends in Stuttgart and visits the city of Marburg on the second stage. It is now clear that the fourth – and thus final stage – will start in Schiltach. The small town southwest of Stuttgart is located in the Black Forest and promises picturesque shots with its old town backdrop of historic half-timbered houses. Schiltach is also the headquarters of the Hansgrohe Group, which has been active in professional cycling for years as a sponsor of the Bora – hansgrohe team. The final stage ends in Stuttgart on Theodor-Heuss-Strasse. Only then will we know who won the Deutschland Tour 2022.

Thomas Haas, Mayor of Schiltach:
“Schiltach is delighted to be hosting the Deutschland Tour. The world's best cyclists come to us in the Black Forest on a summer Sunday. This will not only be a highlight for the people of Schiltach, but also the reason for a trip to Schiltach for many guests. A warm welcome – ideally on a bike.”

Premiere! The final stage of the Deutschland Tour 22 starts in Schiltach in the Black Forest.
