Cycling: Team Bulls managed to win the second day with Martin Frey / Simon Stiebjahn. The German duo thus consolidated second place overall. Jordan Sarrou / Matthew Beers are still in the lead.

On the penultimate day of the Absa Cape Epic, Team Bulls struck again. Martin Frey and Simon Stiebjahn won the sixth stage, securing their second place overall. They trail the leaders, Jordan Sarrou and Matthew Beers (NinetyOne-songo-Specialized), by 6:38,3 seconds. The Frenchman and the South African were only 1,5 seconds behind today. Third place went to Hans Becking and José Dias (Buff Scott MTB), who had already secured two stage wins. This brings the Dutchman and the Portuguese ever closer to the Italian duo Samuele Porro and Fabian Rabensteiner (Trek-Pireli), who currently hold third place.
Frei / Stigger only narrowly win this time
On the seventh day of the Cape Epic, Sina Frei and Laura Stigger (NinetyOne-songo-Specialized) celebrated their seventh stage win. However, the Swiss and Austrian riders had their competitors to thank this time. Just before the finish line, they took a wrong turn, while Candice Lill and Mariske Strauss waited as if they were teammates. In the sprint for the stage win, it looked for a long time as if the two South Africans would be in the lead. Strauss did indeed cross the line first, but the Swiss-Austrian duo were faster than Lill – and thus won again today!

Stunning finish to the women's Stage 6 – Mariske Strauss over the line first, but Sina Frei and Laura Stigger cross together ahead of Candice Lill and take their 7th stage win. That was flat-out racing all day. The women gave it their all. #capeepic #epicwomen
