Gold for Switzerland! Marlene Reusser didn't give any competitor the slightest chance on her gold ride in Trento. The Swiss drove the one that started before her Lisa Brennauer even up and crossed the finish line in front of her. With 19 seconds behind the day's winner, the Dutchwoman has to ellen van dijk settle for silver.
Hannah Ludwig wins silver
The U23 class took to the streets in Trento today before the elite women. They too had to cover 22,4 kilometers in a fight against the clock. The 21-year-old won Hannah Ludwig from Heidelberg the silver medal. She was 39 seconds slower than the Italian Vittoria Guazzini and 7 seconds faster than their compatriot Elena Pirrone. With this, the Italians continue to win the medals at their home European Championship. And Hannah Ludwig has to be content with second place this time, after winning gold in the two previous years.
