August 13, 2021 by Michael Behringer

Arndt Nikias Poland

Cycling: Nikias Arndt has won a race again after almost two years. The German won stage five of the Tour de Pologne ahead of Matej Mohoric. He is now only 2 seconds behind leader Joao Almeida.

Arndt wins in the sprint

Small group, big win! Nickias Arndt (DSM) took advantage of the moment and won the fifth stage of the Tour of Poland. The German won the sprint of the severely decimated peloton Matej Mohoric (Bahrain – Victorious) and Stefano Oldani (Lotto – Soudal). After the 172,8 km long section from Chochołów to Bielsko-Biała Joao almeida (Deceuninck – Quick-Step) still in the yellow jersey. But the Portuguese's advantage - although he also finished a strong fourth today - has shrunk to two seconds because Matej Mohoric finished second on the stage and received time bonuses.
