Cycling: Alexander Kristoff won the second stage of the Deutschland Tour. In the mass sprint, the Norwegian was slightly faster than the two Germans Phil Bauhaus and Pascal Ackermann.
Kristoff celebrates 80th professional victory
Again no win for Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain-Victorious)! The German sprinter lost to his fellow countryman yesterday Pascal Ackermann (Bora – hansgrohe) and today very close to the Norwegian alexander kristoff (UAE). After 180,6 kilometers from Sangerhausen to Ilmenau, as expected, there was a mass sprint. The well-known group of the day consisted of Marc Soler (movistar), Louis Vervaeke (Alpecin-Fenix), Francisco Galvan (Kern Pharma), Kyle Murphy (rally) and Jannis Peter (German national team). However, they didn't stand a chance against the rushing peloton. Tomorrow the convoy of the Deutschland Tour travels to Erlangen.
