E-Performance: Geero combines modern technology with a classic appearance, in short: innovation and retro. Because the two e-bikes Geero 1 and Geero 2 combine a simple look with a retro design and the latest e-bike technology. Since June, the Austrians have also been offering an update of the already improved Geero 2. With the so-called "+" models, further variants are now available. These are equipped, among other things, with a modern lighting system.
Geero 2+: Light update
The main argument for the update was the light and the associated StVO conformity. Previous models only had the option of a clip-on light, now everything is perfectly integrated! The challenge was not only to install the cables cleanly, but also to further develop the display unit accordingly so that the light can be controlled.
But the simple integration was not enough. Of course, the whole thing had to be checked and approved. In the end, exactly what came out was what is now on the website www.geero.de is available. A total of 14 different models are available depending on requirements, equipment requirements and frame design.
Geero 2: The lighting system
Basically you have to decide when buying a + model with lighting or a regular model without. Subsequent integration is relatively complex. For the surcharge of the + models you get a high-quality lighting system from X&O and a Piment tail light. The necessary reflectors are already fully integrated in these lights.
- Front Lights: X&O 30, 1 LED white > 30 Lux, < 40 g, illumination up to 70 meters, visibility up to 3000 meters
- Rear Light: PIMENTO, XE version, COB LED red > 5 Cd + (luminous intensity), < 40 g, visibility up to 400 meters away
Geero 2: model overview
The three models differ fundamentally in the following features, including the color and additional equipment. The original model is for purists with a slightly forward-leaning seating position. The City model is ideal for medium distances. Thanks to the variable stem on the touring model, the seating position is more upright and is therefore perfect for routes and tours of 50 km or more.
