KTM Fahrrad is the new official main sponsor of the BDR

The Austrian company KTM, based in Mattighofen, produces all types of bicycles, both with and without a motor. However, the bicycle and e-bike manufacturer is also very active away from the company headquarters. For example, KTM is represented at the Tour de France as a sponsor of the professional team “B&B Hotels – powered by KTM”. In the future, KTM Fahrrad will also be represented internationally by the German national teams in all disciplines. According to the announcement, KTM will support the Association of German Cyclists, especially in youth work. In the official announcement, BDR President Rudolf Scharping explains: “KTM Fahrrad offers comprehensive know-how in a wide range of cycling and the highest quality, combined with a long tradition and is at the same time innovative and progressive. This fits perfectly with the objectives of the Federation of German Cyclists. That is why we are looking forward to a good and fruitful cooperation”. Johanna Urkauf, Managing Director of KTM Fahrrad GmbH, is no less pleased about the future cooperation with BDR: “We are delighted with how professionally and purposefully BDR approaches and implements all its projects. We are proud to look forward to many successful years of cooperation. Together with the BDR, we can underline our commitment to both professional and popular sports. Our values overlap on many points”.
