More robust and louder: Knog redesigns the Oi Classic bicycle bell

March 24, 2021 by Andrew Waldera

Oh Classic

Product news: The Australian manufacturer Knog has revised its cult bell Oi Classic for the new season. The bicycle bell should be more robust and louder due to the innovations, the independent design remained unchanged. The new version of the iconic bell will be available from Cosmic Sports from mid-April.

Oh Classic

The bicycle bell Knog Oi Classic has been revised in essential points without losing its uniqueness. A special feature of the extraordinary bell is still the ring-shaped design of the sound body made of CNC-milled aluminum. The innovations for the new season concern the hammer and the feather. The hammer was made smaller and a shorter and harder spring was installed. This should make the bell more stable and louder. According to the manufacturer, the revised version reaches an average volume of 85 decibels and is therefore also approved for use on e-bikes. The cult bell is offered in a small version with 22,2 millimeters for mounting directly next to the bicycle handle and in a large version with 31,8 millimeters, any cables can run through the corresponding recess in the clamp. The weight of the bell is given as 18 or 25 grams, the price is 19,99 euros each. The new Oi Classic will be available in black, silver, copper and brass from mid-April through Cosmic Sports.
