Rapha cycling glasses: Experience more contrasts!

9 February 2021 by Florian Nowak

Product news: Rapha has made a name for itself with stylish cycling gear and extravagant designs. In order to be able to make the outfit even more complete, a completely new collection of cycling glasses has been created. The so-called "Rider Optimized Surface Enhancement" lens technology, which allows rapid adaptation to changes in lighting and provides more contrast on all road surfaces, is particularly important and is intended to distinguish the Rapha cycling glasses.

Even if glasses have always been an important part of an outfit and have a strong influence on individual style, there are also a number of performance factors that come into play with glasses. Because not only protection, but also a clear view is essential for every journey. Because especially in changing light conditions, the lenses of the Rapha cycling glasses offer clearer vision thanks to their contrast-enhancing properties. The new Rapha cycling glasses collection offers a total of four different models with individual frame shapes and thus has something suitable for every application.

All lenses in the cycling goggle collection are made with Rider Optimized Surface Enhancement technology. This is an entirely new eyewear technology developed by Rapha specifically for cyclists, which enhances contrast on all road surfaces. This allows you to see more clearly in any weather and recognize danger spots earlier.

Rapha Goggles - Pro Team Full Frame

The Rapha Pro Team Full Frame cycling glasses should particularly impress with their secure fit and a comfortable fit. The curved lens covers the entire face and thus offers a large field of vision in both the upper and lower position. The injection-moulded Grilamid frame is very light and holds the lens securely in place and offers optimal weather protection. When it comes to fit, the Megol rubber coating on the temples is also used, which is intended to ensure a non-slip fit in all conditions. The same material is also used for the nose pad, which is available in two sizes for the best possible fit. Unobtrusive slits on the edges of the hydrophobic disc ensure improved ventilation. The lenses of the Rapha Pro Team Full Frame are scratch-resistant and also have a military-grade water- and fog-resistant coating.

The Pro Team Full Frame glasses are available in several colors, each with different lenses, which can also be exchanged depending on the conditions. Each pair of goggles also comes with a clear interchangeable lens for driving in poor light.

Rapha Cycling Glasses - Classic Sunglasses

The Rapha Classic cycling glasses are the perfect choice for all cyclists who also like to cycle to the café or want to adapt to the style of legendary riders such as Coppi and Anquetil. In addition to its simple design and stylish everyday appearance, it also offers great functionality when cycling. A stable hold, a good fit and a Megol rubber coating on the temples and nose pads ensure that the glasses do not slip, even when it is raining or sweating.

A subtle curve in the frame improves the driver's field of vision. The water-repellent lenses have a military-grade anti-fog treatment and are scratch-resistant, and of course they also use Rider Optimized Surface Enhancement technology.

Rapha Goggles - Pro Team Frameless

If you want to move completely unrestricted and want to have everything in view, the Rapha Pro Team Frameless cycling glasses are just right for you. With a minimalist design thanks to the frameless construction, the frameless glasses offer an unrestricted field of vision even when sitting aggressively. The injection molded Grilamid frame is the lighter of the two Pro Team models. But although it only weighs 28 grams, it makes no compromises when it comes to fit and stability. The Megol rubber coating on the temples and nose pads ensures a non-slip fit in all conditions. The curved frame provides an improved fit with a maximum field of vision. The water-repellent lens keeps moisture out and has a military-grade, anti-fog, scratch-resistant coating. Of course, the new “Rider Optimized Surface Enhancement” technology is also used on this model.

Rapha Cycling Glasses - Explore Sunglasses

Clear vision is also an important part off-road, especially when driving on changing surfaces from dawn to dusk. Specifically designed for off-road adventures, Rapha Explore Sunglasses give riders an unobstructed view of the trail through a pull-down lens without a lower frame. A detachable strap ensures a secure fit on the face and worn around the neck, the glasses are always at hand. The fully ventilated, water-repellent lens provides a particularly high level of protection against dust and splash water. It has a scratch-resistant coating and additional military-grade anti-fog protection. With the new "Rider Optimized Surface Enhancement" technology, you can keep an eye on everything even off-road! Nevertheless, the lens is interchangeable and each pair of glasses comes with a clear interchangeable lens that is used in poor light.
