The 51st Etoile de Bessèges is with the overall victory of Tim Wellens (Lotto – Soudal) came to an end. The Belgian didn't let himself be taken away from the lead in the final time trial. He even finished fourth on the 11-kilometer course with start and finish in Alès. The day's victory again went to the Italian time trial world champion Filippo Gana (Ineo). The Frenchman Benjamin Thomas (Groupama – FDJ) and the Briton ethan hayter (Ineos) finished second and third, 10 and 21 seconds back respectively. At 38 seconds was Nils Politt (Bora – hansgrohe) in 9th place. In the overall standings he improved to third place behind winner Tim Wellens and Michal Kwiatkowski (Ineo).
