MTB News: The Federation of German Cyclists has published the schedule for the International MTB Bundesliga 2021. The racing series will comprise eight races and will thus be increased by four races. The opening race is scheduled to take place in March in Obergessertshausen.
With the eight rounds planned for 2021, the BDR is consistently pursuing the goal of broadening the Bundesliga in Germany. A concept that is to be expanded even further in the future. Like last year, the Fullgaz CC Race in Obergessertshausen is set to open the International MTB Bundesliga 2021 this year. In 2020 the race had to be canceled at short notice due to the corona pandemic. The planning for the event in March is therefore multi-pronged, for example, a race could take place without spectators. After the double event in Krumbach and Obergessertshausen, the Bike the Rock in Heubach, the Shark Attack Bike Festival in Saalhausen and the Weißenfels MTB Event follow at longer intervals. The last three dates in the Bundesliga are tightly knit. These will all be held in September, with the finale being marked by the Singer Forest Cup 2021 in Titisee-Neustadt. Gedern is not part of the Bundesliga this year, but the venue of the German Championship. This is where the German cross-country MTB elite will meet on June 05th.
