Test: Cargo bikes are not new, but the Ca Go does a lot of things differently and a lot better. The cargo bike from Koblenz is not the wooden crate transporter that many have in mind when they think about transport bikes. The makers are known for innovations; we looked into it and got curious. Now we could really experience and try out the concept. We were rightly excited!
My valued colleague Michael Faiß was with me Ca Go already explained in detail. He already checked out the bike at Eurobike 2019 and a few months later retold the story of the Ca Go. I link the two articles below. Since a second perspective doesn't hurt, can usually be evaluated differently and discover new things, I was allowed to deal with the Ca Go when it was delivered to us in the editorial office.

If we already have the bike here, we will not "just" take the opportunity for a video, but also take a few pictures to present all the details of the bike:

The heart of the Ca Go is its EPP box
Large loading volume is ensured with the EPP box of the Ca Go. Those who are out and about in the city will be happy about the lockable lid, which even offers additional storage space thanks to an optional railing. Traders should be interested in the fact that the foiling on the outside of the box can be designed according to customer requirements. A great opportunity for advertising, especially when used regularly in the city.
With an open loading space, the Ca Go becomes a family carriage
Not everyone is a craftsman or just wants to transport purchases. Anyone who has children, or the German favorite child substitute, the dog, also quickly learns to appreciate the advantages of the Ca Go. There are foldable seats for two children, which are shock-absorbing and have adjustable headrests. Five-point belts ensure safety and a Maxi Cosi can be mounted for small children. For pets there is the Pet Kit with a cat basket, dog harness and a ramp to get in and out.

As soon as the Covid pandemic allows, we will be on our way and paying a visit to the minds behind the Ca Go. The multitude of great ideas behind the Ca Go is sure to provide some talking points and we hope we catch a glimpse of what's to come from the inventors of these cool cargo bikes.
