Kämna wins thanks to Tour stage victory
For the 49th time, the magazines RadSport and RennRad have chosen Germany's cyclist of the year with a reader's choice. The Bora – hansgrohe team can celebrate a triple success in the men's category. Tour stage winner Lennard Kämna (26,9%) was able to prevail over his teammates Maximilian Schachmann (19,2%) and Pascal Ackermann (16,3%). The women were tighter. The three-time track world champion Emma Hinze (25,0%) was chosen just ahead of Lisa Brennauer (22,8%) and Franziska Brauße (18,9%). Marco Brenner (27,1%) won the election for youth cyclist relatively well ahead of Luisa Daubermann (20,2%) and Benjamin Boos (15,2%).
